one of the guys from the baseball team sucked. Cause you knew you
would never had any chance. You were the quiet and shy girl why would
he like you or let alone know you. But of course you had no idea that
the Scott Reed liked you so much that he was scared to ask you out.
The guys knew about his crush on you and had tried to make him ask
you out a lot but it never worked. Since prom was coming up they kept
egging him on to ask you.
“Come
on Scotty you’re one of the best baseball players of course she’ll
say yes.” Monty said with a smirk.
“Yeah
who wouldn’t wanna be with you.” Bryce said hitting him on the
chest.
“Just
be yourself and ask her Scott.” Zach said with a smile.
“No
no that’s boring, you should do something big.” Bryce said crossing
his arms.
“I
don’t know, she’s pretty shy and quiet I don’t think she would like
that.” Scott said rubbing the back of his neck.
“Dude
she would love that shit just think of something big.” Monty said
before he and Bryce walked away leaving just Zach and Scott.
“Look
don’t listen to them okay. I think you’re right she wouldn’t like
that. Look just be yourself okay she’ll love you Scotty.” Zach said
as he looked at you at your locker before leaving Scott alone to
think.
“O-okay
Scott come on you can do this.” Scott said as he nervously rubbed
his hands together before he slowly started to walk towards you.
“H-hey
Y/N.” Scott said nervously as he finally arrived next to you.
“Oh
uh hey Scott.” You said surprised he was talking to you.
“How
uh how are you?” He asked as he put his hands in his pockets.
“I’m
doing good. You?” You asked as you closed your locker and turned to
look at him.
“A
bit nervous at the moment but other then that I’m doing good.” He
said with a small laugh.
“Nervous?
Why are you nervous?” You asked confused.
“Well
uh cause I have something to ask you.” He said looking down
nervously before looking back up.
“Uh
would you uh….Do you….Do you want to go to the prom with me?”
Scott asked nervously and stumbling over his words.
“You
want to go with me.” You said not believing someone like him would
want to go with someone like you.
“Y-yeah
I wanna go with you.” He said scared that you would turn him down.
“Why?”
You asked not understanding why he would choose you.
“Cause
I uh I like you a lot.” He said with a nervous laugh.
“Really?”
You said surprised and happy.
“Yeah
really. So you wanna go to the prom together?” He asked again with
a smile.
“Yeah
I uh I would love to Scott.” You said with a smile.
“Okay
awesome I’ll uh I’ll text you the details.” He said with a smile as
he started to walk away to see Zach watching the two of you with a
giant smile on his face.

As you’re in the girls’ bathroom minding your business, you hear yelling and stuff being thrown around.Taken over by your curiosity,you decide to go outside to see what is happening.
As soon as you open the bathroom door, the coach gets literally thrown at you by Mr.Porter.
“What the fuck?!?"You yell at him as you push the bloodied coach away from you.
Looking around, you see your one and only best friend,Justin, throwing punches at some poor guy.Running towards him in order to calm him down,pushing guys away from you in the process, you suddenly feel a slap.
No, not a ‘bitch you’re in the fight as well’ slap.A slap on your ass.An 'i found the chance to touch your butt’ slap. Furiously turning around, you come face to face with Scott Reed who is holding Clay away from the fight. You thought this guy was nice until he slapped your ass.
Grabbing Clay away from him, Scott shakes his head as if he’s trying to say 'no’.
"Keep your hands on your sides you fucking asshole!” You yell.Without a second thought, you raise your hand and smack him across the face as hard as you can,feeling your own palm hurt.Scott puts a hand over his now red cheek and falls down on the ground after giving you a confused glare. 'Damn he dead’ You think but shake the thought away, turning around just to see Alex hitting Monty with his cane.
A few moments later, you all get sent home.For the rest of the day you rant to Justin and Clay about how much of a dick Scott actually is.
“Are you sure it was him Y/N?” Justin asks laying on his back next to you on your bed.
“Yes!” You say for the 10th time this afternoon and roll over on your stomach.“I turned around and he was looking at me straight in the eyes, trying to see my reaction or something!”
“What are you guys talking about?” Clay asks as he enters your room with a box of pizza.
“Scott slapped Y/N’s ass and she smacked him as hard as she could.” Justin opens the box and hands you a slice of pizza which you kindly accept.
“Wait..That’s why you smacked him?"Clay laughs, stuffing his mouth with his slice."That was not him!That was Monty!” He says and you choke on pepperoni.
“Are you serious?!"You ask and drink some water.
"Yes!Why do you think Alex hit him with his cane?"Clay laughs again.
"I knew Alex wouldn’t join the fight unless something that annoyed him happens!And you know how protective Alex is over you!"Justin says while loudly chewing on his food.
"Dude, don’t talk while eating!"Clay says disgusted.
"Why is it annoying youuuu??"Justin makes fun of Clay and chews even louder.
"Why so serious Clay?Aren’t you interested in learning the chewing procedure?” You sarcastically ask Clay and Justin playfully throws a pillow at your head .
“Seriously tho Y/N, you need to tell him you’re sorry!”

The next day, first thing you do after walking into the school, is search for Scott. You can hear everyone talking about 'the smack’.Fuck everyone now knows about this.It doesn’t take long for you to find him, as he is looking for something in his drawer.
Before you can reach him, he turns around and closes his locker, locking eyes with you and then shyly looking away.
You notice a slight bruise in the exact spot where you smacked him.
“Scott!"You yell and a few people turn to look at you,some people whispering that you might smack him again.
Scott hesitantly turns to face you and walks towards you and you run a little in order to catch up with him.

“Yes!Monty was the one who did that to you!I thought you knew!” He scratches his head.
“Yeah, Clay told me.That’s why i wanted to apologise!” You say and awkwardly stand there, looking at each other. “So..” you speak up again.“How can i make it up to you?”
“It’s really alright Y/N..you don’t need to do anything..”

You got off of your boyfriend’s motorcycle once you were in Liberty High’s parking lot. Students stared at you both because apparently you were one of the “power couples” that ruled the school. Ignoring the chatter from other students, you fixed Scott’s varsity letterman jacket as an attempt to hide the hickeys from last night that covered your upper chest. Immediately regretting wearing a v-line dress. You smiled once you looked down at the jacket, “Scott Reed” sewn on in the upper left corner.
“Princess, it’s not a dream. Yes, you are dating possibly one of the hottest guys in Liberty High of all time.” Scott told you, his voice dripping in sarcasm.
You laughed at his comment and slapped his chest. He wrapped his arm around your shoulders, signaling you to come closer to him. You rested your head on his chest. Scott placed a kiss on the top of your head. You took in the comforting scent that was your boyfriend’s, Old Spice and strawberries?
“Scott, did you take a shower last night at my house?” You asked looking up at him.
“Fuck, am I that bad at sex you don’t remember? We were both sober! Well I guess I’m going to have to tell you that you were screaming my name-” Scott began.

The sun was
shining right into your sleeping face, waking you up slightly. Today was Sunday
and you were sleeping over at your boyfriend´s house. Jeff´s arm was lying
loosely over your waist, holding you close to his chest. You turned around,
snuggling into him and inhaled his scent. Your arm sneaked around his torso,
while he pulled you closer. Jeff began to draw small patters on your hip and you
began to slip into another peaceful sleep. His parents were away for the
weekend, visiting friends and he asked you to stay with him to use the rare
possibility. It´s not like his parents didn’t trust you, but they would make
sure nothing to intimate would happen between the two of you.
You began to wake up again, when you felt feather kisses being plastered on
your shoulder and neck. Your eyes flattered open and you were greeted by the
smiling face of your boyfriend. He looked at you so lovingly that you shoot him
a small smile before burying your face in his neck. “Good morning, precioso mío.” He whispered into your hair and you could
hear the smile in his voice. You placed a small kiss on his skin, so he knew
you were awake. “Morning, papi

the nickname you had given him. “You know I hate it when you call me that.” He
whispered, running his fingertips over your side, knowing you´re ticklish. “No
please don’t tickle me.” You squirmed under his touch, chuckling. He move to
get up but you tighten your grasp around him. “Come on baby, we should get up.”
He chuckled, while you plastered kisses on his neck going to his collarbone.
“You really have a problem with getting up.” He whispered before placing a kiss

bed.” You retorted against his lips and felt his chest vibrate with laughter.

the pan. He tried to flip the pancake but it landed next to the stove. You
laughed harder when he frowned at the pancake lying next to him. He turned
around to look at you disappointed and you laughed even harder. “I swear I can
flip pancakes. You can ask my mum.” He pouted at you and you smiled at him. “Oh
baby, I believe you.” You said and kissed him. “Step aside, anciano, and let me try it.” You added, pushing him away from the stove. He
looked at you and snorted at you. “Who do you call old man? When I´m an old man
then you´re my old lady.” He countered and you smiled at the pancake in the
pan. “Ok here goes nothing.” You whispered to yourself, before flipping the
pancake and it landed in the pan. “You speak Spanish and you can flip pancakes,
now I need to marry you.” He said, wrapping his arms around your waist from
behind, placing kisses on the back of your neck. “Don’t make promises you can´t
keep.” You mumbled, flipping another pancake. “Believe me, we will be married
and we will have a house and at least two children and a dog.” He mumbled
against your neck and you felt your smile grow. “At least two children, huh?”
You turned off the stove and turned around in your boyfriends arms, with a big
smile on your lips. “At least two, please.” He grinned at you, his one hand
going from your waist to your ass, squeezing it slightly. “And until then we
can practice.” He added, your arms were around his neck, while he squeezed your
ass again before pulling you into another kiss. “But please not in my kitchen.”
Jeff and you pulled away instantly and saw his parents standing in the doorway,
suitcases in their hands. “Hey mum, dad. I thought you wouldn´t be back until
this afternoon?” asked Jeff with an uncomfortable smile, his one arm still
wrapped around your waist. “Hello Mrs. and Mr. Atkins.” You mumbled shooting
them a small, but embarrassed smile. “Hello Y/N.” Mr. Atkins greeted you with a
smile, while Mrs. Atkins looked at Jeff. “Well it got boring so we left a few
hours earlier.” She answered Jeff´s question, who just nodded. “So Y/N, did you
sleep here?” asked Mrs. Atkins with a small smile. “Oh, yeah we, uhm we were
watching some movies and I fell asleep.” You lied; the activities from last
night didn’t included watching movies. “Sure, wouldn´t be the first time.” Mrs.
Atkins chuckled and you nodded smiling. “We just wanted to eat some breakfast.”
Said Jeff with a smile towards his parents. He turned around, got two plates
out of the cupboard and filled them with the pancakes you two just made.
After breakfast you and Jeff washed the dishes
joking around, while his parents sat at the kitchen table talking about their
weekend. “Deténgase, por

mad, but laughed when he smeared soap on your nose. “Nunca, te ves lindo cuando finges estar enojado. (Never, you look cute when you pretend to be angry)” he said before

and you went to the fridge, bringing her a bottle. “Gracias.” She sends you a smile and you returned it, before walking back to
Jeff who stood amazed in the kitchen. “Mum, you did know that she speaks Spanish?”
Jeff asked his mother, who just nodded smiling. “You too, dad?” he added and
his father nodded as well. “But how?” This time he looked at you. “I told your
mum a while ago.” You answered with a shrug. “You told them before me?” He
asked offended and you laughed, caressing his cheek in a loving manner. “Sorry
honey, it just came up and you were just too sweet thinking I couldn’t
understand a word.” Answered smiling, placing a small kiss on his cheek.
“Unbelievable.” He muttered with a frown on his forehead and a pout on his
lips. You wrapped your arms around his waist and rubbed his back, resting your
forehead against his chest. “Lo siento y Te amo.
(I´m sorry and I love you.)” You whispered and you smiled when he placed a kiss
to your head and wrapped his arms around you. “It´s okay, it´s sexy when you
speak Spanish. You should definitely do it more often.” You breathe out a laugh
and looked at him, adoring his features. “Only when I´m with you.” You mumbled,
placing a small kiss on his jawline. “I hoped you would say that.” He mumbled
before bringing his lips to yours. He broke away just moments later, taking
your hand in his. He told his parents that you two would go to his room.
Halfway toward the stairs he began to speak again. “Wait, that family dinner
when my grandmother told me to marry you and I said I will definitely do it,
you understood that too?” you mumbled a yes with a big smile on your lips.
“That was a private conservation.” He said, his tone serious but you knew he
was smiling. “It´s not private when I stand right next to you, dummy.” You
laughed and began to climb up the stair. “Smartass.” He mumbled under his
breath but you still heard it and snorted as a response. “And great ass.” He added
and gave your ass a slight slap, which caused you to yelp and run up the
stairs, him following close behind you. Let´s just say: He really loved it when
you speak Spanish.

“Remember, we’re trying to keep it cool.” Toni reminded the serpent. They didn’t want to get kicked out, despite being surrounded by Northsiders.
“I know. But I wasn’t gonna let her disrespect me like that. If it were anything else, I would’ve kept my mouth shut.” Fangs retorted.
“Yeah, no offense, but if any teacher disrespected me, I’d blow up. I don’t care that they’re my elder, that doesn’t mean they can disrespect me.” Sweet Pea chimed into the conversation. He took a brief moment to glance at his girlfriend who sat beside him, scribbling away on a lined index card.
Her neat handwriting was scattered all over. She looked deeply invested in whatever she was working on. And she was. (Y/N) was writing notes. Her history exam was coming up and they were allowed to bring an index card with notes. That was it. She went back and forth from reading through her binder notes to writing on her index card.
Fangs wasn’t too happy with this and lightly kicked her under the table. “(Y/N), pay attention to me.” whined her friend. It was innocent, he meant well.
“Sorry, I’m a little busy.” (Y/N) sighed. Her eyes didn’t leave her binder.
Fangs wasn’t having it. What could be more important than him? His eyes flickered between Toni and Sweet Pea as he gestured for them to be quiet, with a zip of his lips. Being discreet, Fangs reached over towards (Y/N) and yanked her mechanical pencil from her hand.
Letting out a stressed huff of air, (Y/N) turned her head towards Fangs. It was evident that she wasn’t amused as she stood to her feet, trying to reach for her pencil.
“Fangs, please give me my pencil back.” (Y/N) begged as he held the pencil over her head, earning laughs from the other serpents. They even called towards Fangs to pass them the pencil. Soon, it turned into a game of monkey in the middle, (Y/N) being the monkey.
Sweet Pea could see her facial expression. Whatever she was working on was clearly important to her. As (Y/N)’s pencil was tossed in the air, Sweet Pea stood and caught it with one hand, placing it back in front of (Y/N). He earned boos from his peers of being a party pooper. He ignored them.
That wasn’t the end of it though. One of the serpents thought it’d be funny to snatch up (Y/N)’s index card. The one she’d invested so much time on, writing so tiny so she could fit in all of what she might forget.
“Elijah, I’m not in the mood.” (Y/N) announced as he waved it around in her face. She lifted herself from her feet and caught a grip of the index card.

The quiet-like sound silenced the bunch of rowdy serpents. (Y/N)’s face hardened. It was like she couldn’t believe what happened because it took her a while to react. She could not even comprehend that so much of her work-
She brought one of the halves of the index card to her face, blinking a few times. Then she realized. Hours of work was gone. She didn’t explode like everyone thought she would. She was silent, which was even more scary.
(Y/N) let out a choked out gasp.

“Don’t.” she clenched her jaw, snatching the other half that was in Elijah’s hand. “Don’t open your mouth because the next time you do, it will be full of my fist and you’ll be choking on your own blood.”
(Y/N) didn’t know what to do in that instance. Her heartbeat was racing. She was so angry, annoyed, frustrated, upset - all at the same time.
“Babe,” Sweet Pea called as (Y/N) began to pack up her things in a hurry.
“I wanna go home Pea. Take me home please.”

“I want to go home Sweet Pea.” she didn’t understand why that was so hard for Sweet Pea to understand. It was clear that she wasn’t planning on spending another minute at the Wyrm. Tears brimmed her eyes out of frustration, she’d really spent so much time trying to save her grade and it was going all to waste.
“Baby, why you crying?” Sweet Pea then knew it was serious. He didn’t even hesitate to help her gather her things and pull her to the side.
“Because,” (Y/N) felt it all at once. The heavy pressure on her chest that caused her to swallow the large lump in her throat and cry out. “I’ve just been trying to pass all of my tests and exams. I really have been trying. I’ve been slacking all term and these last few weeks have been my only chance to redeem myself and these were my notes to my exam for tomorrow and now it’s ripped and,” she paused to wipe a tear. Sweet Pea pulled (Y/N) in his arms, causing her to let out a whimper.
“Baby, baby, baby.” he tutted, swaying her back and forth. “You’ve been stressing out so much.“ he let his thumb rub into her shoulder, kissing her forehead. “Hey, it’s gonna be alright. You hear me?” the tall serpent wiped her tears away.
He couldn’t help but make note of how beautiful she looked, even when she was crying. Tears stained her puffy cheeks, snot was forming in her nose and with how hard and heavy she was breathing, he was surprised she hadn’t blown a nasty snot bubble and floated away. Her eyes that he adored so much were red and irritated.
“You’ve looked over those notes so many times. Do you realize that? I’ve watched you everyday in the past few weeks, rereading your history notes. And then you relook at your Spanish quizzes, then you study every single formula that we learned from the beginning of the year! Do you know how insane that is?” Sweet Pea tucked her hair from her face as she continued to cry. “Your brain needs time. You can’t study all of this the way you do and expect your brain to remember all of it.” he saw her face contort with worry. “But it’ll be alright. You’ve just gotta take it in one at a time.” he held her head in his large hands, running his thumb along her cheekbones.
Sweet Pea brought (Y/N) face closer to his, resting his forehead against hers. Her big eyes stared right back into his. “I’m gonna help you study, okay? We’ll go home and rewrite your notes. I’ll stay up to finish writing them if you need me to. But we’re only looking at your history notes, you are not allowed to touch your other papers. We’ll go slowly, so you won’t have to use as much space for your notes. Okay baby?” (Y/N) nodded her head with a sniffle. “I need to hear you say it.”
“We’re gonna study. Slowly.”
“And?”
“I am not to l-look at my notes from other c-classes.” she answered in between sniffles and hiccups.
“Atta girl.” Sweet Pea gave his girl a small smile. “Relax. Everything will be alright. And if you don’t pass, which I doubt will happen, I will personally show up to Garcia’s class and make him pass you. No one’s studied harder than you.”
This made her smile. Giggle, even. She nodded her head, her cheeks brightening up. For the first time, it wasn’t because she was angry-flustered.
“Have I ever told you how much I love you?” (Y/N) wrapped her arms around his torso, in which he hugged her back tightly.
“Yes, you have. But I wouldn’t mind hearing it another time,” he teased with a grin. (Y/N) broke out into a smile while rolling her eyes.
still not over scott reed’s character. still a scott reed trash. when i put aside his jerkness (when with bryce and monty and their influence on him), he seems like someone, i would’ve had a crush on in high school. typical.
as mentioned previously, timeline and setting occurs in a kind of alternate universe/ version. the point of view changes as well. ps. i apologize if the characterization is a bit off. i am trying.
You waited for your little brother, who was gathering his belongings. After saying bye to his new found friends, he made his way to you.
“Wait up, kiddo,” Scott called out to him. “Don’t forget your t-shirt.” He tossed it to the boy, who caught it in his hands. “Good catch.”
“Thanks, Coach S. This is my sister, by the way,” your little brother said.
Scott glanced at you and gave a nod and a little smile. “Hi, sister.”
“Hi, Coach.” You felt prompted to ask how your brother did even though you practically watched during the session. “How did he do today?”
“Not bad. We just need to work his form,” he responded. He placed a hand on your brother’s shoulder. “Right, buddy.”
Your brother agreed. “Right.”
You looked down at him. “Did you have fun today?”
The little boy’s eyes lit up. “Yes! I even made some friends. Sam said he wants to have a playdate.”
Your parents were right. Having your brother involved in a summer activity will help him make friends. This doesn’t come so much of a surprise, especially since most children have it easy when it comes to forming friendships.
“Okay, well. Maybe we can talk to his parents and arrange one. Sounds good?”
“Sounds good.” Your brother gave you a thumbs up.
Scott was still standing there, listening to you and your brother’s conversation. Out of nowhere, he asked, “What’s your number?”
Your attention turned to Scott. Did you hear him right?
“Uh…shi-”
Your eyes widened. He was just not about to curse in front of a child.
Scott realized that what he said must’ve surprised her. He scratched his head. “Sam is my chil- my little brother. We can arrange a playdate for them. If that’s okay with your parents, of course.”
“Oh, um. Okay.” You paused. “We should exchange numbers then.”
He smiled, that damn smile. “Yeah, I’d very much like that.” He scratched his head again. “So we can arrange a playdate for our brothers.”
Maybe we can arrange a date for ourselves, too, you thought.
“Are you guys flirting?” your little brother pulled you back out of your thoughts.
“What? Huh? Where did you even learn-” Your brother just shrugged, and you shook your head. “Never mind.”
Scott chuckled at what your kid brother said.
Zach was watching again in a distance. Scott trying to talk to a girl has become his source of entertainment at the moment. More so, since he wasn’t much of the type of guy to chase after a girl. In front of Bryce and Monty and the rest of the team, he puts up a front as a stereotypical jock-arrogant, a bit of a player. Zach would know because he was the same. However, this commonality wasn’t something they have discussed.
Zach jogged towards Scott and the girl. He decided to make it his mission to help out his buddy. Once he reached them, “Hey.”
“Uh, hi,” you responded.
Scott introduced him as Zach Dempsey, a friend, fellow coach, and teammate. After introducing Zach, Scott give him a look. You sensed something, but wasn’t exactly sure what.
Zach had a mischievous smile on his lips as he winked at Scott. He then turned to you. “I was just double-checking the emergency contacts of our campers, and we seem to be missing yours. Do you mind writing it down here for me?” He gestured at the clipboard in his hands.
You looked at Scott then to Zach, before saying, ‘I was actually about to give him my number.”
Zach’s smile widened, almost proud. He gave Scott a slap on the back, “Atta, boy! I’ll leave you to it then.” He jogged back to the dugout.
You furrowed your brows. “What just happened?”
Scott just shook his head. “Don’t mind him.” You and Scott just stood there for a moment. “So, about your number?”
“Do you have a pen and paper?”
He pulled out something from his back pocket. “I have a pen.” He reached out his arm. “You can just right it on here.”
You let out a laugh. “Okay, if you say so.”
As you were writing down on his arm, he commented. “You haven’t babbled since our meeting this morning.”
“Thanks for noticing?”
“Just an observation. I take it your comfortable with me now.” He was gazing at you as he pulled away his arm.
He was right. Your babbling from this morning was most likely a result of you laying your eyes on him, and that smile. You adjusted the cap on your head. “Oh, wait this is yours.” You took it off of your head and handed it to him.
He grinned. “Keep it,” he told you as he began jogging backwards.
“Sis, do you like him?” your brother asked, looking up at you.
You turned around to face the parking lot. “Let’s just go,” you told him.
Scott and Zach were gathering the equipments to put away in the storage. They were assigned this responsibility, mostly because they lost a game of rock, paper, scissors against the coaches.
“Nice tattoo, Reed,” Zach teased as he threw a bag of baseballs on his back.
“Shut the f*** up, Dempsey.”
“How did you get her number?”
“I told her Sam was my brother.” Scott carried the bag with the gears. They headed to the storage room, which was a bit of a walk.
Zach shot him a look. As far as he knew, Scott was an only child. “He’s your neighbor, not your brother.”
“Same difference,” he shrugged.
“Dude, it’s completely different. You’re not related at all.” Zach shook his head, partly disappointed, partly impressed at Scott’s slyness. “I can’t believe you’re using a kid to get a girl.”
“Sam’s parents and my parents have know each other for years. He’s basically family, which makes him like my kid brother.”
“Uh, huh. Sure. Keep telling yourself that. Just so you know, it’s probably not a good idea to start your relationship with a lie.”
Scott didn’t respond. He just looked straight ahead, watching where he was going. He knew that Zach was right. Truth be told, it wasn’t like him to pull something like that just to get a girl’s number. It wasn’t his style. He wasn’t exactly sure what has gotten into him. It was the only thing he could come up with at that moment.
(Y/N) and Sweet Pea finally talk about their incident, will she forgive him or will he lose her forever
(Y/N) POV
It had been three days since the incident with Sweet Pea, for three straight days he had completely avoided me. When we passed in the hallway he pretended to be interested with something on his phone, when I talked towards the lunch table he would get up and walk out. If I even tried to talk to him he would just scoff and walk away. I started to feel a little bit deflated, when he held me in his strong arms I felt safe, protected and honestly I almost forgot about how much of an egotistical ass he was just for a second. But that was three days ago and now I don’t even want to see his stupid although incredibly charming face. I really didn’t understand him, how could somebody change their persona so fast in such a short amount of time. Everytime I close my eyes I can still feel his warm body against mine, no no no forget about it (Y/N), today is the day you are gonna stop caring about him. I didn’t want to forget about what had happened but I knew I had to, I couldn’t allow myself to lose sleep over some southside jerk that doesn’t give a damn about me. I snap out of my thoughts when Toni arrives to take me to school, just like the past two days she gives me a sad smile and asks how I’m doing, “I’m fine Toni, it was stupid he obviously just wanted to make himself look good” and nods at me unconvinced that I am ok. Which I have to keep telling myself that I am absolutely 100% ok. Once we arrive at Southside High I can already his tall dark frame standing with Jug and Fangs, they were laughing about something and he looked over at me only to sneer and roll his eyes. Toni goes to walk up to them but I make up some excuse that I have to get to class, she knew I was lying but she understood. As I made my way to my locker I heard his voice for the first time in 3 days. “We need to talk now” Sweet Pea spoke sternly and I shyly nod my head and go to walk into the empty classroom across the hall. “Not here, somewhere private”, I followed him quickly trying to keep up with his large footsteps. We finally get outside and he starts climbing on his bike, “Aren’t you coming? Don’t tell me you have never rode before princess” I cringed at his use of Princess as the last time he called me that was the first day we met. I panic, afraid to tell him no, but he knows and he looks down at me with a cheeky grin, “Oh this ought to be good, hop on I promise I’ll go slow. Don’t you trust me?” I thought for a second, do I trust him, not just with this but with anything? He has been nothing but a rollercoaster since the day we met. I force myself to get on his bike and I am immediately terrified. He tosses me a helmet and I give him a weary look as if to ask where his is. “Oh princess, as long as you’re safe I’ll be ok” Ok, what is wrong with this boy, he ignores me for 3 whole days and now he’s concerned about me and cares again. I sigh to myself and put the helmet on, I feel him grab my hands and wrap them around his waist “Hold on tight, don’t want you falling off” I rolled my eyes but as he started to accelerate I felt myself holding onto him for dear life. Thank gosh he can’t see my face right now because I couldn’t help the blush that rose to my cheeks at how close we were. Before I realize it the bike comes to stop and we are in front of a small white trailer, “you can uh let go now, unless you like being this close to me” I blush at his words when I realize I’m still clinging on to him like my life depends on it. I don’t know where the surge of confidence comes from but I bark out “Keep dreaming Sweets, that will ever only happen in that pretty little head of yours”. He laughed clearly taken back at my new found confidence and the fact that I had just given him a nickname for the first time, he rolls his eyes leading me into his trailer. “S-so you wanted to um talk, is everything ok” I ask as I sit down on the couch in the main room. He looks nervous as he takes a deep breath, “I wanted to talk about the past few days, I feel terrible”, I was shocked, the Sweet Pea felt like a shitty person because of the way he treated me. I wasn’t sure what to say, I was at a loss of words, “Oh yea, don’t worry about it you didn’t know, it-it’s ok Sweet Pea” I say barely audible and avert from his gaze. He goes on to tell me that it’s not ok, that he handled like a jerk and he should of been more welcoming to you. I go to say something but he interrupts me “Please, let me talk if I don’t say it now, I don’t think I ever will” I nod my head implying for him to keep speaking “These past few days, not talking to you, not seeing your smile, not hearing that voice.. I-it drove me crazy (Y/N), I don’t know why I even care so much because you are just some rich girl from the Northside and I shouldn’t care about you or your stupid northside feelings”, it all came out so fast I could barely manage to make out what he had just said to me. I mentally smiled knowing that it was just as bad for as it was me, for the first time I have seen Sweet Pea completely vulnerable. “And you don’t have to say anything back, I understand”, I quickly looked over at him and tried to speak through whatever air I had left in my lungs “Sweet Pea, it drove me crazy too, and I know we haven’t known each other that long but it felt like something very important was missing” I stopped to catch my breath, “I thought you hated me, that you wanted nothing to do with me, the thoughts inside my head began to crush me and everytime I looked at that handsome face of yours I almost lost i-” I was cut off by Sweet Pea pulling me into and I felt his warm lips press against mine lightly “I could never hate you (Y/N), even if you are just a northside princess” he smiled against my lips and in response I kiss him again. I don’t care if this isn’t how things are supposed to me, I don’t care that he is a serpent and I’m from the northside, all that matters in that moment is me and him, and how good of a kisser he is. He finally pulled away from the kiss and shot me the most beautiful smile I have ever seen in my life, I smiled back. My god this boy is gonna kill me slowly.
Sweet Pea’s POV
It has been three days, three days since I sat on the ground with (Y/N) in my arms, three days since I saw her beautiful smile or heard her voice. I am officially the biggest idiot on the planet, dodging her everyway that I can because the way she makes me feel scares me to death and I can’t tell anyone that. As I rode to school, I told myself that today is the day, today is the day that I am going to talk to her about what had happened. She needs to know that it drives me crazy not to interact with her at all. When I arrive at school I see fangs and jug standing by their bikes, I park mine and join their conversation. “Hey SP you alright, you look off today” I just nod my head at fangs while Jug laughs making some sarcastic remark that has us all into fits of laughter. That’s when I see her walking with Toni, we lock eyes and I instantly look away, I see her walk away from Toni and can’t help but smile at how cute she looks when she is flustered. I excuse myself from the group and go to find (Y/N). I walk up behind her at her locker and she gives me a small smile, “We need to talk now” I tried to keep my voice stern but seeing her give me a weary nod I begin to get nervous. She points to an empty classroom but I shake my head telling her we need to go somewhere private. We walk outside towards my bike and I can see her look at it with wide eyes, I get the feeling she has never been on one before. “Aren’t you coming? Don’t tell me you have never rode before princess” I shiver when princess leaves my lips, I haven’t called her that since the day we first me. I promise her that she will be safe when she shoots me worried look, I can’t help but get protective over her, to care for her well-being. As she gets on my bike I toss her a helmet and I smile at the concerned look she gives me, I shook my head at her and told her she was the one that needed to be safe. I cautiously grab her hands and wrap them around my waist and tell her to hold on, as we accelerate she clings onto my tighter only causing the burning in my stomach to get worse and my cheeks flush up like crazy. When we finally arrive at the trailer her arms are still clung around my waist and I can’t help but smile at the contact. “you can uh let go now, unless you like being this close to me” I tell her, not really wanting her to let go but I knew she had to, she immediately blushed but kept a strong head, surprising me barking out “Keep dreaming Sweets, that will ever only happen in that pretty little head of yours”. I was taken back by her new found confidence thinking that it was incredibly sexy, plus I couldn’t help but give her a grin when she called me “Sweets”. We got into the trailer and she nervously asks me if everything is ok, I tell her that I wanted to talk about the past few days. She looks down and in a barely audible voice tells me not to worry. How can I not worry, I was such a jerk to her and how is she just going to be ok with this. I start to get flustered when I blurt out “These past few days, not talking to you, not seeing your smile, not hearing that voice.. I-it drove me crazy (Y/N), I don’t know why I even care so much because you are just some rich girl from the Northside and I shouldn’t care about you or your stupid northside feelings”, I didn’t care how vulnerable I sounded, she needed to know the truth. I look over to her and she looks shocked I can’t help but worry that I have ruined everything. She answers me by telling me that not talking to me was driving her crazy and that she thought I hated her. My heart ached at the fact that I made her feel this way, I can see the tears form in her eyes and I can’t help what happened next. I pulled her close to me and placed my lips against hers. It was unlike any other kiss I have ever experienced, she was warm and gentle and her lips tasted like strawberry chapstick, I pull away to whisper “I could never hate you (Y/N), even if you are just a Northside princess” against her lips. Instead of replying she pulls me down for another kiss. The fireworks in my stomach exploding, I don’t care if I’m deemed bad for her, from this moment on I will never let anything bad happen to her, I will never let her be sad again. They say all snakes have a soft underbelly, I guess (Y/N) is mine.
